I also re-read THE ALLELUIA FILES because I remembered it being so different from the SCW. I'd forgotten how much I liked it. I was trying to think of other authors who write such good SF and can also write such a great fantasy. I mean, I liked Bujold's THE SPIRIT RING, but it's not a great fantasy. Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game/Alvin Maker books), Harlan Ellison (I Have No Mouth../Shattered Like a Glass Goblin), and Ursula LeGuin (The Left Hand of Darkness/Earthsea books) can do it.--Shelly (23 Sep 99)
